nate hallMy career started over 35 years ago, when I was asked to help my step-father ( Joe Maurin) install carpet during the summer of ‘75. Working the summers and weekends through high school I learned to hand sew and hand tack carpet. When I turned 18, I started an apprenticeship with Bob Kaplan at Design Studios, a commercial flooring company in Milwaukee. At that time we were doing large installations in hotels in downtown.

Carpet construction and installation techniques have changed over the decades, and I have been certified through CFI certified in laminate I-II, Hardwood I-II, Resilient I and Carpet Master II, NFIC certification, as well as a certifier and trainer.

In 2005 I became the owner of The Enchanted Floorist, serving all of Southeastern Wisconsin. I am committed to bringing new information as well as ideas to our industry through my continuing education of the flooring industry. I choose to work in this industry because I love to make customers’ homes and business’ more beautiful.

I am active in WFCA and WIFCA and serve on the Regional Certification Team for CFI. And just recently I became a NFIC Certified Trainer as well as a Inspector and Master NFIC Installer. I am the President of the Wisconsin Chapter of CFI.

I am proud of being awarded the Charlie Gress Award from CFI in 2011. I am involved with my community in the DARE program and the Mankind program.

My mission statement is to simplify business, yet install with professionalism to meet or exceed industry specifications.
